Disney May Be Next In Line To Try And Acquire Warner Bros. And DC Comics In Merger

This kinda just breaks me.
So, Disney could own WB and DC comics.

…So Bugs Bunny and Micky Mouse under the same roof.

…Marvel and DC merge.

…I wonder if Tumblr would suddenly start claiming they love DC comics once this happens…

  • People responding to the comic book movies now: Oh man, these films are awesome! Just so much kickass stuff going on! I love these characters.
  • People responding to comic book movies of the future: WHY IS EVERYONE DYING?! NO NO NO! JESUS CHRIST NO! STOP KILLING OFF EVERY SINGLE OTHER CHARACTER!!!

You know what always gets me?

Remember when Blackest Night ended, and Brightest Day started, and they had an interview that said “This won’t be characters sitting around a camp fire singing Kumbiya!”

Which I thought, why not?  What’s wrong with things actually looking good for once?

You know, with this war against DC?
Even if you win, it’s still gonna be relatively the same.  I mean, it’s not like majority only follow DC for Batman.

BATWOMEN FANS! PLEASE NOTE!

I see the “Get issue 26 of Batwoman over 100,000 issues” as a noble goal, but it unfortunately would hurt your cause more than help.

Let me explain.

If you all buy Batwoman 26 and it goes over 100,000 issues, comic book shops would then believe that everyone loves Batwoman and start ordering a lot of the new issues.

This would mean that if you all drop the book when the writer changes, the comic book shops suffer because they have too many Batwoman comics and nobody buying them, thus making them lose money.

In turn, DC would go “SEE?!  People LOVE what we did With Batwoman!  Look how much it’s selling!” When it’s just the comic book shops overordering the book.

So while your goal is good in spirit, it’s actually more damaging to your goal as it would HURT Comic book shops and HELP DC and their bad decisions!

Of course you did DC.

Of course you turned another one of your more interesting new characters evil.  Of course you had to get us interested in something NEW just to make her evil and probably will get her face crushed in.

Because lord knows, you can’t do something new that people would like.  We have to be stuck with the same fucking characters forever.

Having trouble deciding which comics to keep reading and which ones to drop for budge reasons? Here’s my tip.

Right now, write down all the comics you pick up.  Without looking online or glancing at the comics you have, grab a piece of paper and write down every series you pick up.

NO GLANCING ONLINE OR AT THE COMICS YOU PURCHASED.

Give yourself 5 minutes or so.

Once you finished your list, recall the series you forgotten about or just didn’t put on the list.  Those comics are probably the ones that didn’t leave a lasting impact on you and are probably the ones you should drop.

It’s the most honest way to trim down your pull list.

Well, my power is officially out and I ain’t going anywhere in this blizzard. Let’s make this interesting. Send me a heroine, Marvel or DC, and I shall draw them as a blueberry! Pictures will be uploaded when I get power back! See ya then!

(I know this will probably be a dud…)

This is such an adorable, well-drawn image but I’ll never understand the design choice to take away Zee’s blouse and give her a lingerie-type top and a Playboy-bunny style detached collar. Like, are the mile-long legs and the nice booty in tight, fitted dance briefs, fishnets and stillettos not sexy enough? Do you just forget that she’s a woman if her torso is covered? She’s a strong independent professional showman, fellas. Let her look like one.

But…but…without the lingerie and collar, who are guys supposed to know that they should read this book? I mean, look at this pic:

She doesn’t even have any cleavage! How are they supposed to attract the 18-30 male demographic with that?!

In case you haven’t heard, DC now considers Stargirl one of the most dangerous heroes.
I repeat, DC says that STARGIRL is now MOST DANGEROUS.
…
…what?
